History of Lighthouse

The Centre officially opened on September 9th, 2001. Guided by her vision, Reverend Anne Larson and a group of dedicated supporters worked diligently for several years to lay both the physical and spiritual groundwork for a church of this kind. We are both pleased and blessed with a growing and caring congregation. Without them, we would not exist. We gladly welcome and encourage you to seek us out and investigate whether this developing community is right for you.

About the Minister

Reverend Anne Larson found her way to Spiritualism over twenty years ago. As a child she was very sensitive to other people and had knowledge of events and circumstances beyond her which at times were frightening. It was not uncommon to see spirit visitors. In the 1980’s Anne sought help with the Vancouver Psychic Society. They were quick to inform her that she was mediumistic. From there Anne began her “formal” development as a medium. Within a couple of years she was invited onto the platform to work. This lead to involvement with the Spiritualist movement. Because of her dedication Anne was invited on to the Board of Directors of a local Spiritualist church and encouraged to begin training as a Spiritualist Minister. After five years of study Anne was ordained in 1997 by the International Spiritualist Alliance. She is also a trained Spiritual Healer and trance healer, has served on the Board of three Spiritualist churches in the Vancouver area and served as Minister and Co-Minister in two other churches. She has studied at the Arthur Findlay College in England and has worked nationally and internationally.

Anne’s abilities as a medium include clairvoyance, clairaudience, trance and healing. Her love for the spirit world has lead her to train individuals in mediumship and psychic development. Anne leads home circles, holds workshops, and lectures on a variety of topics dealing in psychic and spiritual matters.

With encouragement from the Spirit World, Anne is a founder of Lighthouse Spiritual Centre and is currently the Minister and President of this organization.
